Make a wish Triathlon picnic after the event

This past weekend, Robin and I went to Rehoboth Beach to visit Robin’s mom, but more importantly to support our friend who decided to run a triathlon. This was her first (that I know of) endurance event. Marji said that when she registered they asked her what she was – a runner, swimmer, or biker. After an awkward pause she responded with “a volleyball player” which earned her the response of  . . . ok. Despite a case of the nerves, and a start time of early in the morning she did it. We didn’t make it in time for the swimming portion, but were there to cheer her on at the bike/run transition and as she crossed the finish line. All in all it was a beautiful day and Marji showed some serious determination and toughness to finish in a great time of about three and a half hours.
